ANIMAL SHELTER PROGRAM

If you love animals, you'll enjoy this experience. You'll receive training and be able to help. You'll choose where you want to have this experience.

Dog Shelter

These dogs have been rescued from the streets and are in a state of abandonment. You'll help with their care, feeding, training, cleaning, and grooming. They receive vaccinations and are placed in new homes.

Alpaca Farm

Run by local families, this farm cares for these animals (llamas and alpacas). Through shearing, spinning, dyeing, and weaving the wool, they produce traditional textiles. You'll help with cleaning and maintaining the corrals, feeding, and caring for the animals.

City Zoo

Run by the Biology Faculty of the University of Cusco, this zoo receives animals rescued by the environmental police. You'll be taught how to care for them and perform logistical tasks.

The support schedule is 4 hours per day. If you wish, you can accumulate hours and have more free days for tourist activities.
