ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM — Organic projects on farms
Volunteering on farms offers an authentic experience with small-scale rural producers who grow cacao, coffee, tea, and fruits such as bananas, citrus fruits, passion fruit, and more. You can help with school, productive activities, and social events.
It's about sharing their daily lives and experiences. You'll be a special part of their lives and learn from the encounter; in turn, they'll receive your company and share your knowledge. These will be experiences to cherish for a lifetime.
You'll wake up to the sounds of domestic and wild birds and the aroma of coffee, chocolate, or tea. You can have breakfast and chat around the wood-burning stove and then head out to experience the authentic life of rural communities, nestled among the cloud forests, Andean mountains, or the rainforest.
You can participate in:
- Domestic cooking activities.
- Traditional agroecological activities.
- Productive activities, harvesting, and crafting.
- Educational and cultural activities with children and their families in the community.
- Demonstrations of the harvest and processing of handcrafted coffee at a family farm.
- Observe coffee grinding (May–July).
- Taste traditional roasted and ground coffee.
- If you have a special skill you'd like to share, we can coordinate.
- The support schedule is 5 hours per day. If you wish, you can accumulate hours and have more days free for tourist activities.
